We train and teach the classic European style sport horse principles for both our Western and English horses. These techniques have come to be known popularly as "Horse Whispering" and are the same techniques taught in many popular clinics.

Riding is good exercise and a skill that can be enjoyed for the rest of their lives, no matter where they live.

We give lessons for all levels.  Our lessons include basic horse care and tack up, which takes up approximately 10 minutes in the beginning of the lesson, and about 5 minutes at the end.  Riders experience about 45 minutes of in the saddle.  Lessons are always small, often private or with just one or two other riders.  Many of our families ride together, even if they are at different levels.

Children 7 and under, or those who are not as self confident with horses, will receive about a half an hour in the saddle as we find 45 minutes is too long for most of them.  The rest of the time will be spent leading the horse, petting and brushing to help build confidence.  Most children under 7 lack the attention span to concentrate on riding for more than half an hour.  We reserve the right to be flexible in length with time we teach riders who fall into these categories.  These riders need personal, one on one attention, often on a line, in a round pen until they can develop confidence.  Because of the intensity of the instruction, these lessons are shorter, but are the same price as other lessons.  Riders will move up into regular length lessons when they have the attention span and confidence to do so. 

The more you ride, the better rider you will be.  We wish to make it attractive for riders to come on a regular basis, because a single lesson here and there doesn't really accomplish much.
