TRIAL OF A HORSE 

We offer several options for people who wish to make sure they have the right horse, and a couple of

1. First, on all horses over $2500, we offer an unconditional 30 day exchange policy.  I don't care if you have simply decided you don't like the COLOR, of the horse, we will be glad to take it back and exchange it.  Unlike small or private owners, we always have a nice selection of horses in the same RANGE of horses, one is bound to fit your needs.  We have had very few exchanges, but we are always happy to do them.  Sometimes unpredictable things come up.  Once we had a horse who would not adjust to the neighbor's Llama!  Another time the horse got overly attached to a mini donkey and became defensively protective.  We want to be sure the horse is as comfortable in his or her new surroundings as you are and we will work with you toward that end. 
2. You may come and take lessons on the horse you are looking to buy.  This option does not HOLD the horse from being sold to another customer.
3. Lease the horse for 30 days for $500.  That includes your right to come and ride and work with the horse any time.  It covers the board, and 4 FREE lessons with you and the horse.  It takes the horse off the market for 30 days and gives you time to bring friends and trainers by to see it.  If you decide to EXCHANGE horses during that time, we have no problem.  Change horses and enjoy the balance of your 30 days with another horse.  At the end of the time, if you decide you want to purchase the horse, $200 shall apply to the purchase of the horse.  The lease may be extended on a month by month basis at the same terms.  If you decide you DON'T like the horse, no problem, you have no further obligation.
4. With a $1,000 deposit, take the horse to your location for two weeks.  (We reserve the right to approve the situation and facility.  We MUST know the destination of the horse.)  If you like the horse at the end of 2 weeks, the entire deposit applies to the purchase of the horse.  If you don't like the horse, return it and receive a $500 refund.

Although we have no problem with you showing the horse during the trial period, you are responsible for its health and safety.  We ask that it not be run in a field with other horses and that it not be exposed to high risk activities.  We do not permit trial foxhunting.
